The amount of $5 should be included in money order or check, as cash is not accepted. Processing can take a month not including the delivery time.

For fax verification, the person making the request can fax the application form or provide the details mentioned in the cover sheet of the request form. The person should also include their credit card number and expiration date for payment of fees. Fees to pay include the $5 verification fee, $19.50 for UPS and $10 for credit card handling charge. One should also include their contact details, signature and a copy of a non-expired government-issued ID. Please note that the department will not process incomplete application forms. Processing takes about a week’s time. Delivery requires signature of an adult and PO Box addresses are not allowed.

For in person requests, they can drop the form at the Vital Records office during business hours. The processing time takes about 3-4 days. For pick up, the person who requested the information should show a valid ID.

How To Obtain Certified Copies Of Dissolution of Marriage

Certified divorce records are available from the county court clerk where the dissolution of marriage was obtained. To find information on how to request for your records, phone the county where the dissolution was granted. The Public Information Office of the county processes varieties of information for the public and as such, processing time might take a few days to a week’s time.

Another way to obtain records of divorce is through online means. One can check out online divorce companies that offer the service free although you have to pay certain fees if you want to access the complete information. By far, online application is the fastest and most convenient way of gathering government records.
